If your Bristol-based team travels regularly — airport runs, client pickups, late nights in the office — a Q-Run business taxi account takes the admin out of it.
One account. Fixed prices. Everything logged and invoiced automatically. No expense claims to chase, no cash changing hands, no surprises on the bill at the end of the month.

Common business uses
Airport transfers for staff
Early morning flights are the enemy of calm. A Q-Run booked the night before — or weeks ahead — means your colleague is at Bristol Airport on time without the taxi panic. We cover Heathrow, Gatwick, Cardiff and Birmingham too for those longer trips. Pre-book, confirm, done.
Client pickups from Temple Meads and Bristol Airport
First impressions matter. A professional driver meeting your client at arrivals or at the station, with their name confirmed and the fare already settled, is a better start to a business meeting than “find us on the app when you land.”
Late-night transport for employees
Staff finishing after public transport has stopped shouldn’t be left to sort their own way home. A Q-Run business account makes it straightforward to provide that cover — and it costs less than you might think once you factor in the HMRC exemption (more on that below).
Inter-site and cross-city runs
Regular runs between Bristol offices, business parks or client sites? Set up the account once. Your team books as they need to. Everything lands on one monthly invoice.
Nationwide trips
Q-Run covers the whole UK. Long-distance runs to London, Birmingham or beyond are available through the same account, same invoicing, same fixed pricing. Local Run. UK Run.
The HMRC tax exemption on late-night staff taxis
If employees occasionally work late and you cover their taxi home, HMRC provides a specific tax exemption for this — and it’s worth knowing about.
Under guidance EIM21831 and EIM21832, up to 60 qualifying taxi journeys per employee per tax year can be provided tax-free by the employer, provided:
- The employee works later than 9pm that evening
- The late working is irregular — not part of a regular shift pattern
- Public transport has stopped or is not practical for that journey
- The destination is the employee’s home
This means providing the occasional late-night taxi home is a legitimate, tax-efficient way to support your team — not a benefit-in-kind that triggers a tax liability for the employee or a reporting requirement for you.
A Q-Run business account gives you the documentation — itemised receipts, journey dates, pickup and drop-off records — that makes this clean and auditable from day one.
Employer duty of care and late-night transport
Employers have a duty of care for employees travelling on work-related journeys. If your team regularly works late or on unsociable hours, providing safe transport home is more than a nice-to-have — it’s part of managing that responsibility properly.
Having a business taxi account in place means there’s a reliable, professional option available whenever someone needs it. Not “sort it yourself and claim it back” — which is slow, awkward and often results in nobody bothering.

Fixed pricing means predictable costs
Unlike platforms that charge more when demand spikes, Q-Run fares don’t move. Budget accurately, every month, without worrying about surge charges landing on the invoice. A rainy Monday morning costs the same as a busy Friday evening.
Predictable costs also make it easier to justify the service internally. Fixed fares, itemised invoices and clear journey records give finance teams exactly what they need — and no awkward conversations about a £60 surge fare that should have been £20.
Why Q-Run over other corporate taxi accounts in Bristol
Some corporate accounts pitch priority service and detailed invoicing — which is fine. Q-Run does all of that, and adds one thing most don’t: you can call and speak to a real person who knows your account. No chatbot, no automated system, no explaining yourself from scratch every time.
We’re a Bristol-based business serving Bristol businesses. When you need to add a booking at 7am before an early flight, or change a pickup on the day, someone picks up the phone.
